Thesis Practice
We're going to think about writing how to write a strong thesis today. In order to do that, we'll practice writing a thesis in a group about "April 5, 1968" of 1919.
We'll be using these slides in class. In them you'll find the following things:
- An exemplar thesis from an HL Essay.
- The theses your classmates have written.
- The following notes about what makes a strong thesis:
- A thesis must be clear. It needs to be clear what you’re arguing/exploring/etc.
- A thesis must be concise. Be precise in which words you use and how many.
- A thesis should begin to introduce your how. In other words, what is being done in the text that helps develop your thesis.
